How to Make Essential Oil Infused Bath Bombs

Is there a better way to end the day than soaking in a long, steamy bath and a good book? There is a way to make it even better! With a home made bath bomb.

You can buy premade bath bombs on Amazon, but I still prefer making my own. Making bath bombs is easy, and it is a great time to spend with my family making them together.

I put my 3 favorite lusciously aromatic bath bomb recipes below!

Essentially, bath bombs are hard pressed mixtures of dry ingredients that fuzz up and dissolve when they get in contact with water. The main ingredients found in these fizzy bombs are probably already in your kitchen, so all you have to do is gather them and start “cooking”.

Lavender and Eucalyptus Bath Bombs

The Lavender-Eucalyptus bath bombs are perfect for relaxing after a long day in the office, or even after an intense workout. The Lavender essential oil found in these bath bombs helps soothe the mind and body, uplifting the mood and balancing the emotions, while Eucalyptus essential oil helps relax stiffened muscles and improves circulation by regulating the blood pressure.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • ½ cup of citric acid
  • ½ cup of Epsom salts
  • 1 tsp of water
  • 3 tsp of coconut oil
  • 20 drops of Lavender essential oil
  • 15 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil
  • 2 bowls and a whisk
  • Silicone molds
  • Glass jar

Start of by adding the dry ingredients into one bowl and mix them thoroughly. Mix the oils and water in the other bowl and slowly pour the oil mixture into the first bowl while mixing with the whisk. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture. When it feels like it’s completely homogenous, compress the mixture into the molds and let it dry. When the bath bombs are completely dry, pop them from the molds and store them into a glass jar!

Patchouli and Bergamot Bath Bombs

Nothing seems to lighten up my mood better than popping in a Patchouli-Bergamot bath bomb into the bath. The mystic aroma of Patchouli essential oil helps ground and balance out the emotions, enriching the atmosphere with a comforting scent. The naturally moisturizing properties of Bergamot essential oil help soothe inflammations and dry patches, leaving the skin feel soft and smooth. Combining these two essential oils in a bath bomb couldn’t be more perfect!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • ½ cup of citric acid
